2020 was one of the hottest years in the Cameroonian entertainment sector.
The Reason being that it ushered in lots of new acts in diverse genre of music.
Despite the effects of Covid 19, artistes found a way to satisfy their fans by putting out projects like Love and Hustle , I’m Cameroon, Locked Up etc.
They delivered good music to the ears of their listeners and music critics across the country and Africa at large.
Well, here is another new year and as expected artistes are required to drop hits in forms of EPs, albums and singles.
This article will list of 6 anticipated albums from Cameroonian artists.
Now we would exclude projects like Cysoul’s-Illusion ,Salatiel’s-Africa Represented etc. because they have already been released.
6. Gasha – Love Gasha :
After being in the music Industry for more than 8 years .
Singer Gasha has finally decided to release her Ep and has already dropped the official cover art of the project .
This means the release date should be very soon.
We all think it’s about time she dropped a body of work to consolidate her fan base .
5. Rinyu -Black Girl Magic :
Rinyu came into the limelight in the entertainment industry last year with single after single .
She blew everyone away with songs like “Friendzone,dreamy eyes “ etc.
The singer has even been touted as the Cameroonian Simi due to her breathtaking voice and has carved quite an admirable fanbase for herself.
She announced her new album “Black Girl Magic” will be dropping this year .
fans are extremely excited about this due to the bond she shares with them .
4.MiNk’s – Undisclosed Title:
Rapper MiNk’s has been on a musical low for a long while and although he just released a new single in “Booster” .
His fans are wondering when they will get an album.
Especially with the Rapper on all comment sections on social media .
Most people think he has become a comedian but he has actually been working underground on his album .
He recently confirmed this by saying he will be dropping an album this year and given his fanbase, he is one who all eyes will be on especially after the album drops .
3.JOVI – Undisclosed Title:
Ndukong Godlove Nfor has been on his own lane after dropping his 2019 Album “God don Kam”
He has made numerous singles and shown snippets of his studio sessions on his social media pages ..
Most importantly announced he is working on a new album .
His fans are all hyped up for this album and although he announced the album last year , he has confirmed it is going to be released this year.
Moreover given the quality Jovi brings to his projects, its logical for fans and the entire public to anticipate this one like the biggest project this year.
2. Locko – Undisclosed Title:
Arguably one of the most consistent artists in Cameroon, he has released a project every year for the past 3 years and this year isn’t no different .
he announced the release of an album this year after “magnet” a song from his upcoming album was chosen in the Coming 2 America 2 Soundtrack Album .
This means that this year , he will drop another album and his fans as usual are very happy to get this news as they know they can’t starve of music when it comes to Locko .
1. Ko-c – Undisclosed title:
Ko-c has been one of the best artist in 2020 after dropping hit after hit and due to the high bar he has made for himself .
there has been numerous demands for an album from the rapper/singer .
He just recently went online to confirm his album is coming after being seen in numerous studio sessions .
Everyone is waiting and anticipating this project as it is the first official project from the hitmaker .
