Mr. Chuonjua Terence Chia is famously known by his stage name as Kobo.
He was born on the 14th of April 1989 in belo subdivision in Boyo division in the North west region of Cameroon.
Kobo went to government primary school jinkfuin and obtained his advanced level in EHS Yaoundé .
The rapper further obtained a decree in philosophy at the university of Yaoundé 1(Ngoa-ekelle)
He was inspired in 2007 by p-square were he started having interest in music, he later engaged into rap by 2008 but later dropped it in 2012.
Its only in late 2020 that Kobo resumed music but switched from former hip hop rap to Afro rap/singing .
His first official video on YouTube was a sensitization song about the COVID-19 entitled COVID-19.
Since then Kobo have been very active in the Cameroon music industry with over 10 official releases 9 been videos.
His recent songs have been focused about the current events taking place or topics in Cameroon and some people now call him an opportunists artist.
Apart from music Kobo has been a philosophy teacher since 2015 and had lots of businesses he runs.
He is currently teaching in one of the popular private schools in Yaoundé.
Although he was known by the public through his single “Boyses and girlsese”.
