Miss Gina Promotes: What are your full names? Where are you from?

Prosper: My full names are Menda Prosper Nying. I am from OKU.

Miss Gina Promotes: What drew you to the music industry?

Prosper: Music is something i have loved since the age of 10. The love of music pulled me.. And also the love of God.

Miss Gina Promotes: Who are you inspired by?

Prosper: I am inspired by the word of God and the holy ghost.

Miss Gina Promotes: Please explain your creative process.

Prosper: Well for me to make music… I first of all get the inspiration from the holy ghost,  the songs do come like light dropping from the sky.. It sometimes comes with all the words and how the instruments should go.. Then it’s taken to the studio then programmed and then the song is ready.

Miss Gina Promotes: Is there a hidden meaning in any of your music?

Prosper: My music always carries a message …. It differs per music. The overall message is always the love of christ… I do have a song camouflashed as a lovesong generally but its a love song from Jesus to us.

Miss Gina Promotes: How many Cameroonian artists have you collaborated with? What was the process like?

Prosper: I have collaborated with alot of artists cant really name… Sometimes the experience is great when you’re dealing with people who know what they are doing. Also, sometimes dealing with amateurs makes it fraustrating but since it’s all about the music and God its cool.

Miss Gina Promotes: In your own words, what can you say about the Cameroon Music Industry?

Prosper: I think the cameroonian music industry is quite growing and getting better by the day… I look forward to a full fleshed music industry in Cameroon in the nearest future.

Miss Gina Promotes: Do you think the established artists are supporting the upcoming artist enough?

Prosper: Well I think for the upcoming artists that don’t have links to the established artists it’s often tough because I believe the artists mostly help those they work with not everyone.

Miss Gina Promotes: Please discuss how you interact with and respond to fans/supporters

Prosper: Well this is tough but i do respond to supporters and fans as often as i can and i do talk with them one on one.

Miss Gina Promotes: Tell us 5 Cameroonian artists you think can represent Cameroon on International stages.

Prosper: Well am a gospel artist but looking at it just based on potential I think

Salatiel,Daphne,Locko, Stephane and Prosper Menko.

Miss Gina Promotes: What is your favourite part about this line of work? Your least favorite? Why?

Prosper: Favourite part is when you are able to transform someones life with your music and the hard part is spending the sleepless nights for rehearsals and building capacity.

Miss Gina Promotes: Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?

Prosper: Performance anxiety i dont really know much about that but i havent really had anxiety alot before going on stage

Miss Gina Promotes: What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?

Prosper: The advice I will give is, first work on your capacity, build your skills and character then leave the rest for the holy ghost.

Miss Gina Promotes: Who are your 5 favourite Digital Promoters in Cameroon.

Prosper: I havent worked with many but I think: Miss Gina Promotes, MadeofGodTV, IJesus Africa, Christian Blog.
