Spread the love

The great thing about doing things wrong is that we have the power to correct and evolve our paths!

1. Not Creating A Routine:

As an artist, you need to have a creative routine dedicated to your passion. Artists want to increase revenue, streams and their following, yet spend hours doing idle things not dedicated to their craft. Create a simple daily routine dedicated to music-making/studying, learning about ”money-management”, perfecting your craft and growing your audience. Dedicate 1-2 hours per day.

2. Being Super Negative:

Science is showing us how fault-seeking creates neural pathways in our brain that trains our nervous system to be in “reaction” mode instead of proactive mode. Learn to spot your judgemental, critical or harsh triggers/actions and correct them using kindness, compassion, and love – Then watch as you begin to attract the right people/connections into your life.⁣

3. Neglecting Health:

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that your energy output is greatly linked to your health. Without it, you can’t do much, let alone tour the world and become a superstar. If your budget doesn’t support super healthy foods, search for budget healthy items during times of struggle to ensure you’re able to perform mentally at your best.⁣ Focus on your health first, before focusing on your wealth.

4. Creating Excuses:

Instead of creating excuses as to why you can’t build an audience, try to follow a simple rule: For every excuse, force yourself to look for 2-3 solutions to a problem.⁣

5. Not being on platforms:

The reality is, if you’re not on as many distribution platforms as possible in 2020, you’re limiting your potential audience. Who knows, your track could do badly here in Cameroon or in Africa generally, but do amazingly well in the U.S. Be accessible. ⁣
