Askia and Skidi Boy go a long way,2 talented rappers who have been collaborating and supporting each other regularly, 2 years ago, Askia featured Skidi boy on her “Welcome for Kwata” Single. Then they came into another collaboration last year in Habib du Bled’s “Magician”Single.
That goes to show how much these 2 respected each other. Skidi Boy of recent just celebrated his birthday, and he had a lot of positive wishes from friends, colleagues and Family but one thing noticed by him was Askia’s silence towards his Special day.
This didn’t go well with him, and so he took to social media to express his disappointment in her and few hours later, Askia replied indirectly with the post below,
claiming she won’t give anyone who disrespects his elders(Jovi le monstre) a birthday shout out.
This is actually shade on Skidi boy as a few months ago, Skidi boy released a video claiming that Jovi is the reason this industry
is not going far and that he should stop ranting online and to lead the way for the younger generation.
This was Skidi Boy’s Message however it wasn’t passed the right way and was found as disrespectful amongst fans of the
Cameroon music industry and as it seems Askia didn’t take that lightly too, and so that’s how they began feuding.
We all hope this can end and these 2 can go back into cooking us some good music as they have been doing before.
