Cameroonian singer Blanche Bailly has taken to her social media pages to shed light on the ongoing Anglophone Crisis in the Southwest and Northwest Regions of Cameroon.

Here’s what she wrote:

”I understand that you are my fans and you want me to be verbal about things plaguing our society. Thanks for that trust. However, When the #anglophoneCrisis started, Artists came together under one voice and did a song, I was part of that project but you, the same FANS attacked us and made us to Discontinue the project.

When everyone left Buea because it was heated by the crisis, I stayed here, I still invested here, I have a business running here. Do you think that I am not affected by the crisis?

When I traveled to Kumba pregnant to donate covid 19 support to IDPs and others, I had to leave my car and get into another car to avoid being a target.

I do want peace more than you can ever imagine. The artists are not your enemies, neither am I.
We lived the bullets !!!
Lives have been and are still being lost, homes shattered, businesses crumbled, etc.
It’s not the time to throw blames and pointy fingers but FINALLY, TOGETHER under ONE VOICE …..#EndAnglophonecrisis”
