Yangi is a multi Award-winning US based-Cameroonian Artiste, Singer-songwriter & performer signed to ”Yangi Nation” and widely considered as an Afrobeat king in the DMV (DC, Maryland & Virginia) Area in the USA.
With just 3 years in the music industry, Yangi has managed to secure great achievements already including winning the award for Best New Artist at the Next Generation Entertainment Awards 2017 and different nominations with just a couple of releases.
On June 24th, 2017, Yangi released his first official single titled “Wedding day – Jennifer“; a song where he depicted the rich culture of celebrity marriages through a highly sophisticated modern and traditional style. “Wedding Day” received much praise from the fans and media and introduced Yangi into the world of Music.
In December 2017, Yangi dropped the visuals of his second singled titled “Feeling Is Real“. This video came with style, elegance, class, and an intense quality video directed by Champion Studio.
After the release of the above two singles, Yangi has gone further to collaborate with some of the most renowned names on the African Music Scene, including a collaboration with the Cameroonian Makossa Legend; Petit Pays titled “PANYA” which is one of the biggest anticipated songs as at now. Panya will be released soon.
Though born in Cameroon, Yangi only got to see his mother of Nigerian origin at age 20 after embarking on a search trip to Nigeria for her. To acknowledge his mother’s love and appreciate her sacrifices, blessings, and influence in his life since he met her, Yangi composed the song “Africa Mama” for her, which is currently an anthem in the DMV area of America. “Africa Mama” was produced by OY Production.
Yangi recently released a brand hot Music Video KOLOFATA.
What is special about this project and cover art that we see here attached is that the story reflects the pain and loss of so many people around the world following the COVID 19 Pandemic.
The story explains a situation where a nurse gets to leave her family to travel to “Kolofata” to help the people in that area fight against the Coronavirus Covid 19. Unfortunately, she dies in the line of duty and her husband (Yangi) only gets to hear of her death on the news.
We’ve seen several songs about the Corona Virus some raising awareness, others explaining the dangers, etc, but I’m not sure I’ve watched any song which explains what families go through when their sons, daughters, husbands who are medical practitioners die in the line of action or on duty especially due to Covid-19.
Yangi also recently released ”DIRECTION” , in collaboration with Liza Kay, the first US-based artist on the Label Yangi Nation. ( Music Video on YouTube under Label Yangi Nation)
YANGI , subbed the hardest working artist in the USA , braved the obstacles of the Corona Virus and just recently shot a hit Afrobeat Music Video JEGEDE to be premiered in Maryland & released on Saturday by Team Yangi Nation .
Yangi and his record label, Yangi Nation have been at the forefront of Afrobeat in the DMV area of the USA and is currently working on signing young and talented artists to join the label.

YANGI’s Collaborations:
Yangi has put to good use his prolific songwriting skills and Collaborated with other artists in the course of his career.
YANGI’s first Collaboration was a song he wrote in honor of for his friend who passed in the USA , Don Prince.
He collaborated with Cameroon born USA based artists Adele Clarice, Vreezzy Ville, Pardon C ( Nigerian Afrobeat artist ) as well as Award-Winning Actor and Movie Director Kang Quintus.
The song won an Award for the best Collaboration that year @ the NGEA Awards .
Yangi has also collaborated with Africa’s finest Rabba Rabbi (Petit Pays) on a hot single PANYA , which many insiders thought to be a game changer. PANYA is yet to be released.
In addition, Yangi has recently collaborated with newly signed artist on the Label , Liza K on a hit titled ”DIRECTION”.
