Here’s what she wrote:

”In a time when we are trying to promote “unity” in the country, I found it interesting that when I asked a Canal Olympia Yaoundé 1 staff member why all their notices and signs were in French with no English versions available, his response was “French people are the majority so they have priority.”

Then told me “if English speakers don’t understand something they should just ask!” Wow!

Interesting still, he continued by saying by the way everybody should understand French and said the company is not obliged to put anything in English coz they are a private French company! ?
How ignorant can a person be?

And if companies like Canal Olympia of Bolloré Transport & Logistics au Cameroun permit open discrimination like this how do we expect to move forward as a country?
What stops you,

#CanalOlympiaYaounde from simply printing out English versions of your notices? Is it that hard?

We are all pushing for change. The change can only come if we do little things in our sections to create the unity.

Plus…this company really needs to tell it’s staff to not be so openly ignorant!”

According to Olgha, it is open discrimination to the English-speaking Cameroonians(Anglophones).

In a nutshell, both French and English speakers should be treated with equal respect!
