Cameroonian born UFC fighter Francis N’Gannou is the newest UFC Heavyweight Champion.

He knocked out Stipe Miocic at the 52nd second minute in round two of the main even final of Saturday March 27.

The fight was more about revenge of their first encounter 3 years ago which lasted 4 rounds and Stipe Miocic kept his title that night.

The Fight started slowly with both fighters on defense as both were skeptical to attack and get a counter attack on their end.

By the end of the 1st round, Ngannou slowly took control of the fight.

While Miocic survived the opening round, he wasn’t producing much offense.

He went back to his corner with a mouse forming under his eye from the damage delivered by Ngannou.

As the second round got underway, Miocic went on the attack but this lead to his quick downfall

Ngannou unleashed a perfectly timed jab that sent Miocic stumbling to the mat. That was all the Cameroonian born knockout artist needed to see to know the end was near.

Ngannou pressed forward, but to his credit, Miocic recovered well enough to fire back with a punch of his own.

Perhaps that gave him a bit of false confidence, because Miocic then became willing to engage in an exchange.

This provided the opening for Ngannou to land the punch that finished the fight just a split second later.

N’Gannou became from then onward the first African /Cameroonian World Heavyweight Champion in The UFC .

He Mentioned the following when a reporter interviewed him

“I don’t know if I can find the vocabulary to express this, but it feels so amazing.

I’m glad to be hear and will be always ready for a fight

The Cameroonian born joins fellow African Champions precisely from Nigeria, Kamaru Usman for World Welter Weight Champion and Israel Adesanya for World Middle Weight Champion.

AFRICA is the only continent with the most champions in the UFC  (3) with Francis N’Gannou becoming Africa’s FIRST Heavyweight Champion in UFC history.
