Motherland Empire Artist, Stanley Enow has released his 2nd Studio Album titled “Stanley Vs Enow” after a 4-year long wait from his fans and accurate hype of the album. With all that, we decided to do a  review of this album. Here is our first listen review to Stanley Enow’s  “Stanley Vs Enow“ Album.

1.INTRO:

The introductory song of this album starts with us listening to the advice and critic of the mysterious speaker towards Stanley enow. giving him more courage to continue his journey which becomes overwhelming food for thought to us by the end of the 1 minute 3 seconds track.

2.OMG:

And now we start dancing and feeling good (lol). A feel good Afro song which gives the listener a reason to think of his or her lover and still hit the dance floor. Kudos to Softtouch on the top class production. Stanley actually delivers with very catchy lyrics and vocals on this one. At this point of listening, you are excited to listen to the album more.

3-COMEBACK:

A song where he begs his lover to return to him. The beat is mind blowing which urges us to praise softouch again but while no withstanding Stanley Enow’s vocals shows how much work he put in this song.

4.GLORY:

A well-known single off the album which he tells us his story and shows gratitude to God for who he is today. With good Instrumentation, we feel like it wasn’t well delivered on this one as the message isn’t well delivered to the listener but an overall average song.

5.OH WHY:

With OH WHY, We get similar vibes of his previous single “Casanova” like its Casanova 2.0. Difference is the fact that this song is one in which he expresses sympathy for some situations we face more often in our society. With feelings of regret in it.

6.CHAM CHAM FT JOY:

This is a danceable tune which makes you reminisce of the Bamileke dance which talks about love, ambition, hustle, and life as a whole, and it’s a good one. You can feel a good chemistry between Stanley Enow and Joy as they synchronize perfectly. Kudoss to both.

7.NUMERO UNO FT PIT BACCARDI:

A rap duet which gives you glimpses of Stanley Enow during his ‘Hein Pere’ days Stanley throws shade on his haters and critics emphasizng  that he is still in the game meanwhile they thought he won’t be where he is today. Making him the numero uno. Pit Baccardi spills bars upon bars on this one break the cell of this song. Cameroon hip hop at its best. This is one of our favorite songs on the album.

8. FOREVER FT DAPHNE:

A dream collaboration fans will want to see has come true and its so good. This is a certified hit on this album as everything works out from the story to the production to the chemistry between both artists. This is certainly one of the best songs on the album.

9.LOVE FT FALLY IPUPA:

Another big time collabo which has an afro RNB  feel to it, especially with Fally Ipupa singing in Lingala. However, its an average song.

10.MY WAY REMIX FT DIAMOND PLATINUMZ AND ARIEL SHENEY:

This is a single which gave Stanley his realest hit after ”Hein Pere” and he decided to go international with it as he invited Diamond Platinum and Ariel Sheney who did extremely well on this song.

11.OH YEAH FT PETIT PAYS:

Ahh muff, let’s get to the dance floor. It’s a very good vibe which gives you happiness to do whatever you like. No message, no lyrical power, but still yet, it’s so good.

12.COMPLICATED:

We honestly feel like he was stalling and freestyling on this beat. It’s an average song.

OVERALL REVIEW

This album honestly doesn’t have a real storyline. ‘Stanley Vs Enow’ as the title says should talk about him as a person and as an artist and from the intro song you feel like he is going to talk about himself more but you get many ”afro” songs which in our opinion is meant for the commercial mainstream.

Most of the songs are good but lack a lot of depths in them. Congratulations to the Production team as the beats are super captivating.

OMG, Forever ft Daphne and My Way Remix are arguably the best songs on the album. The rest are ok and below average, and that’s not good giving the hype and expectations this album had.

In a nutshell, we feel like this album gets a 6/10 overall which means it’s above average.
