Esther Eyoh! Sounds familiar? We don’t think so. Born of Emma Bokone in Kumba South West Region, Cameroon where she attended elementary and part of secondary school.
She also schooled in Yaoundé for a few years and got her bachelor’s degree from, the University of Buea.
Esther Eyoh moved to Toronto, Canada a few years ago to pursue a career in Film and television.
She graduated in film school in 2018 and quickly realized how gifted of a writer she is as she wrote movie scripts for renown movie producers.
Late 2019, she decided to begin writing music with the intension of selling them someday. Her friend urged her to record her songs and here we are. “I am a natural”
Her debut single “MegaChic” is a ”savage” rap track with an old school hook that reflects the kind of artist Esther is. Very articulated with killer bars.
She is currently working on an album and we can’t wait to vibe to it. Esther is bold, beautiful and intends to be a Muse for artists young and old all over the globe who feel trapped or limited to specific genres because they were born in certain countries or continents.
For instance, being African doesn’t mean you only have to make Afrobeats, Afropop, etc
They say, “the proof is in the pudding” Her debut album will surely prove that.
