Spread the love

Beatrice ZB delivers a unique package of love and healing roots music based on her culture, spirituality and her life experiences and influenced by Sally Nyollo, Ottou Marcellin, Lokua Kanza, Charlotte Dipanda and others.

Her song Samba is the leading song of her first EPI: BALLADE. it is a melange of Bikutsi and Afro pop with a pinch of French and Ewondo.

The lyrical inspiration of the song evolves from Beatrice’s childhood’s fantasies and experiences as a rural child raised in a small village Efok located in the Centre Region of Cameroon.

Beatrice was born in a very musical family. All her siblings play either guitarist or “balafons” and were all involved in local choirs.

She therefore developed her love for music in an early stage and started playing guitar along her brothers.

In her early twenties, she started playing with her guitar in restaurants, cabarets, festivals and clubs. She was often invited to perform in special events and shared the stage with the like of Folly Dirane, Odile Ngassa, Jacky Biyo.

In her middle twenties, she slow down her musical career to start a family with her husband. 2 decades later she wants to revive her passion for music as she believes it’s never too late to pursue one’s dreams.
