Cameroonian rapper Blueprint Hakeem has released a ”DJstudio animated lyric video” for his second single of 2020 titled ”LUCIDITY”!
The song was Produced by ”Baeby”, and it is a follow-up sequence to his February 2020 single “GRAVITY/GOING FOR THE THROAT” that addressed topics from child massacres to bad politics in Cameroon’s government and the music sphere, this follow-up release LUCIDITY, is a perfect metaphorical representation of the down-side of colonialism on the entire African continent.
With verses done in English and in pidgin by BLUEPRINT HAKEEM, extra vocals by ZITA LITE, and speech excerpts from Rwandan President Paul Kagame and deceased American rapper Nipsey Hussle, it is no doubt that this song comes in at a time when there is an ever-increasing global need for knowing ones self and upholding the values of the African child.
