Based on the overall output of the show, we decided to give a chronological rundown analysis of every performance by each of the 15 contestants.

1. MAKONGO RAYMOND:

This young artist came onto the stage with a lot of confidence and with a new look of back in the 80’s while performing “Francois” by Toto Guillaume.

Makongo Raymond gave the crowd a good energetic performance and had a lot of interaction with the crowd and to top it all off his vocal prowess where above standard as per the song he chooses to sing.

The judges gave him an overall 17/20 which we honestly believe he merited more.

2. NDACHILLE:

 Ndachille performed a classic Takam II song and did it very well. His vocals were on point and you could feel the message he was trying to send. He was very crowd interactive and his outfit was relatable to the song.

Both judges gave him a combined score of 17.5/20 which we think is well deserved.

3. MONTHE ARIANE:

This very talented damsel, who had arguably the best vocals on the night, performed a beautiful song by Jennifer Hudson, so wonderfully with a very unique voice.

The judges gave her a combined 15/20 which we feel she merited more.  

4. MERCY NCHE:

Mercy, honestly, gave us an excellent performance as she was very composed on stage and her vocals where superb. She performed “Girl on fire” by Alicia Keys which is a very demanding song in terms of pitching. The judges gave him a combined 17/20 which we believed should have been 18/20.

5. LOVETTA:

Arguably one of the best performances of the night, Lovetta performed a classic by Charlotte Dipanda. This performance was the peak of the show. From her outfit to her stage presence, she completely nailed it. The judges gave him a combined 15/20 which was deserved.

6. ALEXANDRA TSEPO:

This female artiste stole the show with her performance .As her voice was exceptional. However, she didn’t have much stage presence. The judges gave her a combined 13.5/20 which we think should have been 13.

7. MOUAFO ARCHANGE:

Archange was great. He delivered a very unique gospel performance with his heavenly vocals and great stage presence. The judges gave him a combined 18.5/20 which was for us too much as a 16.5/20 seemed fair for the display.

 

8. TIWA MAX:

Young gentleman who defined class by giving such a good performance on stage. His vocals were excellent and the music was put into art in his context. He had a score of 16/20 from the judges which was fair.

9. MBUNJI VANESSA:

Started off above par then got to her feet with a good performance and a very good way to conclude a song .The judges gave her a total of 14/20 which could be arguably fair.

10. NABIOU LEILA:

This artist had a lot of stage fright but managed to give us a very energetic performance when she performed a classic South African slow jam. The judges gave her a total 15/20 which is fair enough.

11. EDIMO EDIMO:

She had a very beautiful voice which she showed her performance. One could definitely see a lot of potential in her .The judges gave her a total score of 18.5/20 which we believed she merited a 19.5 note instead as she gave the best and most entertaining performance of the night.

12. NLATE WILFRED:

   He came on stage with a lot of confidence and performed his song with little or no errors as everyone including the judges related to his performance. He was given a combined 17/20 by the judges and which was well deserved.

13. ESANGI EDIMO:

  She was very good on the mic as she had good vocals but was a little bit shaky as she performed “mispa” by Charlotte Dipanda. The judges gave her a combined total of 15/20

14. EMBESSE GUY:

This artist performed Fally Ipupa’s “Juste Une Dance” amazingly. Although he did a good job in hitting the right notes, both judges felt he could have done better and so did us. 14/20 was his score.

15. NFEDE MARIETTA:

This very powerful vocalist performed extremely well in a rendition of the classic “Mourir” song. With an average crowd interaction, the judges gave her a combined score of 16.5/20.

In Conclusion, The night ended with a lot of jubilation and sadness as the 6 artistes selected for the nest round where chosen. 

They were:

• MERCY NCHE

• NDACHILLE

• MAKONGO RAYMOND

• MAFOUA ARCHANGE

• MONTHE ARIANE

These aforementioned contestants therefore qualify for the next round, which is to be announced soon. Don’t miss this!
