Undoubtedly Miss Earth International Audrey Monkam, is one of the biggest fashion models from Cameroon.
Ever since she won Miss Beach Cameroon in 2017, she has been unstoppable working with different brands like Caro Pur Creme (Cosmetic brand) amongst many others.
Currently at the AFW, she already graced the green carpet for Lomzy and many other international designers.
Accra Fashion Week is a fashion show that comes twice a year with regard to its two seasons(Rainy and Dry Season).
There is Accra Fashion Week Chilly and rainy which comes during the rainy season and Accra Fashion Week summer/harmattan which comes during the dry season.
This show brings together national and international models, fashion designers and
other people in the fashion industry and takes place in Accra, Ghana.
Cameroonian modeling agency, Nikiheat Model Management was able to cast their models online and Audrey Monkam and
Adama Ruth were selected amongst the other models to participate for the Chilly and rainy edition of Accra Fashion Week.
When we asked Audrey how was the experience, here’s what she had to say!
”The experience was fun cause I got to meet new people in the fashion industry and got
an experience on how Fashion shows or let’s say big Fashion shows ? take place in Ghana but it was tiring too.
Modeling for foreign designers is actually good cause I think everything that happens in Cameroon happens everywhere just that the grass seems greener from the other end.
So till you get there, you’d have no idea how it is as compared to your country.
But the show was lovely and the organizers received us warmly”.
