As an entertainer in showbiz, you do not have to only choose one career when you can dominate as an artist, actor, video vixens, producer and director.

This is clearly what artists like Daphne Njie, Mimie, Stanley Enow, Nabila and more had in mind when they made a shift in their career.

Cameroon movie industry is taking a rise in growth where we boast of award-winning storylines and directors who bring the art to live in a 1-2hour movie.

Recently, It has become a trend that artistes from the Music Industry lend a hand to the Movie Industry as they take up roles in many great projects.

One can see that as Empire lead artist Mimie was a lead role in Muriel Blanche’s new Movie, “Shenanigans“.

It had a lot of effort and publicity put on it that during its premiere, It was sold out at Douala Bercy. This was arguable with the support of Mimie’s Star Power, as most of her fans showed up for the movie premiere.

Another example is the movie, “Broken”. The movie was produced by Syndy Emade, which stars Ghana’s heavyweight actor, John Dumelo and Cameroonian singer Nabila.

Nabila, undeniably has one of the sweetest voices Cameroon has ever known. As an artiste, she has easily penetrated the hearts of several. We know she will steal hearts as she makes her movie debut by playing the character; Patricia Mbole, in Broken.

We will tend to see more examples of this act, as Daphne is working on a new movie with Cameroonian producer, Kang Quitus and Nigerian actor, Ramsey Nouah titled “The Fisherman’s Diary”.

Like we saw Nigerian singer Banky W as the lead in Nollywood’s most successful movie, The Wedding Party.

It makes sense for Cameroonian artistes to switch roles. This is what we are seeing in Stanley Enow’s screen debut. Some weeks back, he starred in a movie titled ”Back To Kinship” produced by BigSteve Agbor. The movie was shot in the USA. Other cast members include the talented Cameroonian actress Okawa Shaznay.
