The 4th edition of Urban Jamz Awards 2019 was held on the 23rd of March in Douala. It was an exciting award show.

Also, we witnessed amazing performances from our artists like Ewube, Thee 808 Nation and many others, but we couldn’t understand what happened in some of the award nomination categories as the artist everyone expected to win didn’t get the award.

This is because the voting polls on the website before the awards were pointed

towards different artist as the winners before the show and we had different artists as the winners during the show.

An example is the category of Best Afro Trap/Hip-Hop song which by the voting polls on the website, Jovi’s “Ndole” as the winner but during the award show, the award was surprisingly given to Askia’s “Let’s Talk”.

Another category was the one of Best Male Artist which was being led by Jovi (34.5%) and the award was handed to Magasco meanwhile Magasco had about 8% on the voting polls.

We are all wondering what went wrong and the bases on which the organizers handed the awards.
