Branding myths? Let’s debunk a few of those down below!

1. You Gotta Be Someone You’re Not:

The idea of branding is never to be someone you’re not, it’s to truly enhance the person you are, and the person you’re becoming. ⁣

2. Only Popping Artists Need Branding:

If there’s one thing that’s for sure, up and coming artists require good branding more than ANYone else. ⁣⁣

3. My Music Is Good, I Don’t Need It:

Okay Michael Jackson, listen here. Your music may be A1 Grammy rated, but if your branding is off, the music means nothing. Branding compliments your music, telling stories your music doesn’t. ⁣

4. Branding Is Too Expensive:

The image on this post is branding, and cost us 0CFA using Canva. Photography = contact a student photographer looking to build experience. Photo-editing = Stop spending on non-essential things and pay 25,000CFA a month for adobe photoshop/lightroom. Priorities. ⁣

5. Confines Me To A Box:

The worst one yet. Branding adapts as you do. Gary Vee’s videos started off as basic long-form content, and he adapted himself over time. If you think branding confines you, you’re not understanding the concept of branding. Branding is “WHO YOU ARE”. Who you are is ever-changing.⁣”
