Cameroonian musicians are not only hardworking, but they are also industrious and they are always looking for various ways to improve their lives, create wealth and reduce the unemployment rate in Cameroon, and as such many of them have decided to focus on creating other businesses apart from music.
Below is a list of some Cameroonian musicians who run other business ventures.
1)Sango Edi:
Cameroonian singer, Sango Edi is also one of the few Cameroonian producers who have used his skills as a tool to earn a living from it.
He is the owner of a music studio in which he produces many songs for most of your favorite artists.
Edi also runs his own record label ”Thee 808 Nation”.

Reprudencia Sonkey, known professionally as Dencia, is a Cameroonian-born singer, entrepreneur and fashion designer…
In 2014, Dencia launched her skincare line, Whitenicious, infamously including a skin lightening & brightening creams.
She is one of those Cameroonian artists who has inspired so many people to own their own businesses or create a side hustle.
- Ndimofor Pascal:
Pascal has been doing music for a long time now, although he is not currently active in his music career, Pascal has marked his Clothing line brand present for months now in the hearts of so many people.
Pascal is not only a talented artist but also a good marketer and we have all seen that in the way he markets his brand. (Pikin 4 Sun)
Most people have been seen wearing Pascal’s merchandise especially the socks which he sells for 25 thousand Francs.
- Mr. Leo:
Mr. Leo is arguably one of the biggest acts in Cameroon today. The ’Asabe’ crooner has a restaurant called “Chill” located in Buea and he also has other businesses in which he operates.
’Chill’ restaurant is one of the coolest spots to enjoy mouth-watering meals in Buea. It is situated in Molyko. You should visit and enjoy their delicacies.
- Nyangono Du Sud:
Nyangono du Sud owned his business even before getting into music.
He is the owner of a retail shop at Marche Central Yaoundé in which he sells many types of equipment from kitchen to electronics.
However, he has upgraded his shop as a result of music and as such fits in this list perfectly.
6) Blaise B:
Blaise B is not only a great vocalist but he is also an amazing songwriter and producer. In fact, he is a ”hit-maker”!
After his exit from AB Records, Blaise B launched his record label ”Akwandor”, opened his new studio in Douala. His new venture as a record label owner and full-time producer has turned out so well as he earns huge sums from his production business.
7) Dynastie Le Tigre:
Dynastie Le Tigre was a beast in the early years of his career but has not been actively dropping songs like before.
That notwithstanding, the artist is finding joy in his new line of business as a restaurant owner.
The ”Prends Soin D’elle” crooner, launched his new restaurant business last year, December 21st in Yaounde at mbvog ada (Pakita en face école Catholique).
If you are in Yaounde, Dynastie’s restaurant is definitely a place you should visit.
8) Blanche Bailly:
Talented female artist and future mother Blanche Bailly is also a “Femme D’affaire”.
She is the owner of a ’Beauty Salon’ in Buea
and also has an online clothing store on Instagram.
This goes to show that ”Queen Mimba” is not Sleeping on her game.
Her saloon is one of the best and comfortable places you should visit for all your hair, manicure, or pedicure treatments. It is situated in molyko, opposite Hotel Eta Palace.
- Maahlox:
Maahlox is also a well known 237 celeb who has a good discography as an artist to his name.
Maahlox has made a way to make ends meet out of music by owning a snack bar in Yaoundé called “Le boivement”.
Which just opened its doors of recent and has so far been one of the hottest spots for nightlife in Yaoundé.
In addition, Maahlox has created a venture(snack bar) to provide ’paid jobs’ to some Cameroonian youths.
10. Salatiel:
Salatiel who is an outstanding artist is one of the most well-known record label owners.
He created his record label some years ago, he is a full-time producer, songwriter and has a well-equipped music studio in Douala where he produces so many of your favorite artists.
Salatiel is not only cashing out as an artist, producer, songwriter, he has also created a company, to provide paid jobs for other Cameroonians.
