“Artists Stop Hitting Support Your Own.This is Business Not Charity”!

Cameroonian singer and producer, Seta Beatz, took to his Facebook account to address artists who like crying foul on social media that people don’t support them and using the slogan “Support Your Own” to make people feel they owe them and must support their art. He goes further to say it’s not charity and it’s a business…

Here’s what he wrote:

“Some of us artists are acting very petty as though it’s everyone’s business to make us stars or mega stars. Hitting on people “support your own” support your this and that. This is not charity. This is business. It’s your business. At the end of the day no one will be permitted to attend your concerts for free just cos they supported you to get there. You will be the one making your money and showing off how you live large. It might even be a suicide mission for some of these people you call for support just to even have a picture with you when that time comes. So invest in yourself, promote yourself and make your profits.”
